About SREDlog

Why we built
SREDlog.

SR&ED claims are often prepared from information spread across documents, spreadsheets, email, project tools and conversations. We built SREDlog to keep that information together as the claim is prepared and reviewed.

The problem

What makes SR&ED preparation difficult

An SR&ED claim depends on technical records, the people who did the work, labour and expenditure data, client confirmations and CRA forms. Those parts are often collected and reviewed in different places.

The preparer then has to find the current documents, confirm facts with the client, connect costs to projects, update the technical narratives and make sure the forms reflect the reviewed claim.

When something changes, the same update may need to be carried through several files. It becomes harder to know which version is current and which evidence supports a statement or decision.

What SREDlog does

One workspace for the full
claim preparation process

SREDlog organizes each claim by client, tax year and project. Evidence, technical narratives, client review, labour and expenditures, calculations, CRA form drafts and review history remain in the same claim workspace.

See how it works

How the claim information stays connected

Each part of the claim remains linked to the records and review decisions behind it.

Evidence and projects

Documents, links and technical records remain attached to the projects they support.

Technical narratives

Drafts are prepared from the facts and evidence already gathered, with sources available for review.

Labour and expenditures

Labour, expenditures, assistance and credits are reviewed in the same claim as the technical work.

Client and reviewer feedback

Confirmations, comments and approvals remain connected to the version that was reviewed.

The company

Built in Canada for
SR&ED claim preparation

SREDlog is built for Canadian consultants, accounting firms and in-house teams that prepare SR&ED claims. It reduces the manual work involved in organizing the file while leaving professional judgment with the people preparing the claim.
