Slack is a curated capture, not a workspace sync. A client authorizes the SREDlog app, then explicitly saves individual threads that document a decision, test, result, or dead end.
Save a thread
- The client signs in to their SREDlog portal, opens Connect, chooses Slack, and authorizes the SREDlog Slack app.
- Open the message shortcut on a relevant Slack message.
- Choose Save to SREDlog.
- SREDlog confirms the capture in Slack. The consultant reviews it in Intake and links it to the relevant claim and project.
What enters SREDlog
The selected message, available thread replies, required display names, timestamps, and the source link are captured. If Slack cannot return the full thread, SREDlog preserves the selected message and records why the capture is partial. SREDlog never bulk-syncs or searches the workspace.
Disconnect or troubleshoot
Slack has no Sync button. If a thread cannot be saved, confirm the app remains authorized and the message is accessible to the authorizing user. Disconnect in SREDlog and revoke the Slack grant to stop new captures.
