Saving Slack evidence

Authorize Slack and save only selected technical threads into SREDlog as curated evidence.

Updated July 20, 2026

Slack is a curated capture, not a workspace sync. A client authorizes the SREDlog app, then explicitly saves individual threads that document a decision, test, result, or dead end.

Save a thread

  1. Authorize the SREDlog Slack app from the client portal.
  2. Open the message shortcut on a relevant Slack message.
  3. Choose Save to SREDlog.
  4. Review the captured thread in the evidence inbox and map it to a project.

What enters SREDlog

Only the selected message, its thread replies, required display names, timestamps, and the source link are captured. SREDlog never bulk-syncs or searches the workspace.

Disconnect or troubleshoot

Remove the Slack authorization to stop new captures. If a thread cannot be saved, confirm the app remains authorized and that the message is accessible to the authorizing user.

Review the complete Slack data boundary and setup record.
